I love me some Tumblr time. I find all kinds of different things I love like photography, quotes, design inspiration, fashion. I found Betype one day and it’s a great source of typography inspiration and ideas when you’re going through designer’s block.
I wish I could stamp this on my client’s foreheads. Or on their briefs. Designed by vbg as a new years compliment to their clients, these stamps read “Good design is for good clients”. So simple and so true.

Colombian artist Cesar Del Valle creates these intricate pencil illustrations that interact with our real life world making them 3D art in a way. How interesting that a pencil did all that work – the textures of the people’s clothes, the details, the shading. That, is real art innit.

I love the simple yet very appealing predictions. I found these pretty rocks online that led me to Meagan Tidwell, a calligrapher who writes on lots of unusual mediums. My favourite are the rock place card holders. I haven’t seen lettering on anything besides wedding invitations and envelopes.
I came across this amazing video today. With uplifting old school music and the sheer talent of these two artists, it’s a joy to watch. I don’t know how they draw so perfectly without any outlined markings anywhere. The messages are simple, and somehow, as simple as it is, it makes me want to do better. I don’t usually post about fashion but I just had to after seeing these beautiful photographs of Laure de Sagazan’s designs. I’ve seen a few online and was so glad to have stumbled upon her site and discovered even more pretty pictures. The art direction, the clothes, the femininity of it all – it’s all so delicate and lovely.
Based in New York, Humunuku is run by husband and wife, Alana & Cisco. Their boutique style print studio was founded back in 2008 and specialises in screen printed goods and textiles. Like the prints on these bars of soap which are so elegantly done. It’s really simple but has such impact. Almost like an African tribal print no?
