I need to get my hands on all 8 volumes of Bracket – a sleek publication that features ideas, sketches and processes. The collection contains volumes on craft, hunger, ethics, failure and spirit to name a few. I love the sexy minimal image on the outside and the scatterbrain sketches covering the inner pages.

The Where, the Why, and the How: 75 Artists Illustrate Wondrous Mysteries of Science

I have lots of books about useless facts I will never need to know but interest me nonetheless. I also have sections of my bookshelf dedicated to illustrated books. This book that I’ve just found is the perfect combination of the two. Pairing today’s most creative illustrators with interesting questions like how long trees live and why we dream is The Where, the Why, and the How: 75 Artists Illustrate Wondrous Mysteries of Science.

Some of my favourite illustrators that have been featured decorate the pages with their signature drawings including Lisa Congdon, Gemma Correll, and Jon Klassen.

Cream Magazine

The folks at Yomesubo are behind the gorgeousness that is Cream Magazine. Oozing sexy layouts and classy fonts, these details make the mag more of an artsy coffee table book than a glossy paged magazine. I have a feeling everyone’s going to be Googling Erik Elias and not CreamMagazine ;)

The Neuw Denim Brand Bible

The Neuw Denim Brand Bible (The Neuw Testament) is a collaborative effort by Luke Brown and Right Angle Studio. Something so effortless and minimal is never easy to pull off. It makes for easy reading and just downright good-looking editorial design. It takes a lot to make it all look so easy and I really appreciate that.
