Enter the world of Candy Chang – artist, designer, TED Senior Fellow, World Economic Forum Young Global Leader, the list really does go on. Candy uses public spaces, public art and human engagement to create community projects. The outcome is always something to think about. In this case, it’s her newest project, Write A Confession – “a place where people could write and submit their confessions on wooden plaques in the privacy of confession booths. Candy hung the anonymous plaques on the gallery walls each day and painted select responses on large canvases.” My favourite is this one – “I still love her. 2 girlfriends and 5 years later.”
that’s so fantastic, what healing experience not just an art experience, an insight into our respective fears.
This is such a great idea, what a way to get things off your chest and put it out to the universe! :) I like the last one too but really feel for the person who’s in the military…
Innovative:)
This is similar to the Yoko Ono Wish Trees or http://www.postsecret.com/ but I like the change of format, Chang has made it look really engaging. Other peoples secrets are ALWAYS interesting.
I have a few confessions. Point me in the direction of the nearest booth.
Hee hee. Wish I could participate too.
I love it!
Beautiful and inspiring and sad… and kind of makes me want to go out and hug every person I see.
creative and straightforward….
Reblogged this on THAT GIRL THAT GOES STRAIGHT TO THE BUFFET AT CORPORATE LUNCHES, WEDDINGS AND BUSINESS EVENTS and commented:
I love this! Interactive, meaningful and selfless art.
Wow! How therapeutic being able to get your darkest, most intimate secret out there without having to actually own up to it. Love this idea.
